The Mobile Interface
Overview
This article is a tour of the Salus Mobile interface: the Main Menu, what's inside Sites and My Toolkit, and the small interface elements you'll see throughout the app. Use it to get oriented, or as a reference when you're not sure where to find something.
There are 5 user roles on the Salus platform, each with different permissions and access levels in Salus Mobile. This article describes the interface from a Worker's perspective. Other roles, like Foreman or Company Admin, may see additional options in some areas, noted below where relevant.
Interface Areas
The Main Menu
The Main Menu has four categories: Forms, Inbox, Sites, and My Toolkit.
- Forms: Access forms to fill out.
- Inbox: See your actions and notifications.
- Sites: Search for and open the sites you work at.
- My Toolkit: Your profile, certificates, company info, and app settings.
Inside a Site
Opening a site from the Sites tab shows a site-specific menu, including Check In, Orientation, Workers, Forms, Subcontractors, Subcontractor Forms, Corrective Actions, Documents, and Timers.
My Toolkit
My Toolkit is where you manage your profile and app-level settings:
- My Profile
- Certificates
- QR Code History
- Signed Documents
- Company Code (shown with your company name)
- Employees
- Assets
- Subcontractors
- Documents
- Company Orientations (view your company's orientations and their QR codes)
- Change Company
- App Management (shows your app version)
- Refresh App Data
- Settings
- Help and Support
- Log Out
Interface elements
A few small elements show up throughout the app:
- Search bar: Search for a form.
- Selection bar: Navigate between subcategories, like New, Drafts, Submitted, and Shared under Forms.
- Dropdown field: A customizable selectable list.
- Toggle: Turns a setting on or off.
- Filter icon: Opens a filter dialog to narrow down a table.
- Send email icon: Lets you select items and email them.
Note: Emailing a form or document sends a copy. That copy is untracked and lives outside the platform from that point on. The email itself comes from a no-reply address.
What Happens Next
Once you're oriented, the Related Articles below cover each area in more depth, including step-by-step instructions for forms, sites, and your toolkit.
Frequently Asked Questions
Where did Timers go? I used to see it in the Main Menu.
Timers moved. You'll now find it inside a specific site: go to Sites, open the site, and scroll to Timers.
Why do I see fewer options inside a site than a coworker does?
The site menu changes based on your role and permissions. A Foreman or Company Admin typically sees more options than a Worker on the same site.
What's the difference between Company Code and App Management in My Toolkit?
Company Code shows your company's name and code. App Management just shows your current app version.
Is emailing a form the same as sharing or submitting it in Salus?
No. Emailing sends an untracked copy outside the platform. Sharing and submitting keep the form inside Salus, where it stays tracked.
What does Company Orientations show me?
It lists your company's orientations along with their QR codes.
