Subcontractors overview

The Salus platform allows you to invite your subcontractors to use Salus as their tool to manage Safety paperwork in the same way you are. Once your subcontractor has been invited and gets started on the platform, you’ll be able to see summarized data for each of them – you’ll also be able to access the completed documents and forms that their workers submit for a specific site. You won’t have access to the worker profiles as their data will be kept in the subcontractor’s company.

You can get a subcontractor to start using the Salus platform by inviting them. For more information, see Inviting a Subcontractor

Data available to the Company Admin vs Subcontractor Admin

Data available to the Company Admin for Subcontractors

Your subcontractor will be using the platform independently of you. However, by adding a subcontractor to a site, you’ll still have access to some of their data.

For all of the subcontractors assigned to a site you’ll see:

  • A dashboard view summarizing workers on site, subcontractors on site, and submitted forms and documents for all of the subcontractors assigned to a site

For individual subcontractors assigned to a site you’ll see:

  • A dashboard view of the workers on site, forms completed today, and total forms for the individual subcontractor
  • A tally of completed forms, and access to those forms for the workers of the subcontractor
  • A list of active workers assigned to the site for the subcontractor

Note: As a Company Admin, you won’t be able to access the worker profiles that are set up underneath a subcontractor’s Salus platform. Only the subcontractor who invited those workers will have access to their profiles to manage. All you’ll be able to see as the Company Admin of the parent company is a list of the worker names that work for the subcontractor.

Data available to the Subcontractor Admin

When a Subcontractor is invited by a Company Admin to join the Salus Platform, the settings make it mandatory to assign the subcontractor to at least one site. This means that the subcontractor admin will be able to access the following data:

  • All forms that have been submitted by the company to the site with prime access enabled
  • Documents assigned to the same site the subcontractor is assigned to, with public or prime access enabled
  • Their own worker profiles - who they invite and manage themselves as workers for the subcontractor
