Corrective Actions on Mobile
A corrective action flags a problem you spot while filling out a form, like a missing guardrail or a damaged tool, so it gets assigned to someone and tracked until it's fixed.
Create one directly from a form field on the Salus mobile app. It routes to the assignee's Inbox, and stays in sync with the Actions area on the Salus web app.
Create an Action from a Form
- Open Forms and select the form you're filling out.
- Find the field with the issue. Tap the flag icon next to it.
- On the Send Corrective Action screen, select a Notification Type and enter a Description. Both are required.
- Optionally set a Priority and Due Date.
- Optionally choose who to assign it to under Assigned To. You can assign to a company worker or a subcontractor.
- Tap Send Action.
Note: The flag icon appears on every field by default. If a field's flag has been disabled, you won't see it there.
Working an Action in Your Inbox
Every corrective action assigned to you shows up in your Inbox, alongside messages from your company.
- Open Inbox or, My Toolkit then tap Inbox.
- Tap Actions Required to see only corrective actions assigned to you, or Unread to see items you haven't opened yet.
- Tap a corrective action in the feed to view it, add a comment, or update it. Each one shows a flag icon, ticket number, completion status, and comment count.
- Use the filter icon to narrow the feed by Site or Type. Tap Reset Filter to clear it.
Note: The Inbox is now found under My Toolkit. It's no longer in the bottom navigation bar.
Working Offline
Corrective actions and messages are automatically available offline, with no setup needed.
Warning: You can't send or receive corrective actions while offline. Anything you create queues up and syncs automatically once you're back online.
What Happens Next
As soon as you tap Send Action, the corrective action is created and appears in the assignee's Inbox under My Toolkit. If you're offline, it queues and sends the moment your device reconnects.
The assignee sees a new item in their feed with a flag icon and an open status. As it's worked on, comments and status updates show up for anyone tracking it, on mobile or on the Salus web app.
Frequently Asked Questions
I don't see a flag icon on a field. What's going on?
Flags appear on every field by default, but they can be disabled for individual fields. If you don't see one, that field isn't set up to create corrective actions.
Can I assign a corrective action to a subcontractor?
Yes. Under Assigned To, you can choose a company worker or a subcontractor.
Do I need a specific permission level to create a corrective action?
No. If you can edit the form, you can create a corrective action from it.
Where do I find corrective actions assigned to me?
Open My Toolkit, then Inbox. Tap Actions Required to see only the ones assigned to you.
What happens if I create a corrective action while offline?
It saves on your device and sends automatically once you're back online. You won't be able to send or receive it while you're still offline.
I used to find corrective actions in the bottom navigation bar. Where did it go?
The Inbox has moved. It's now under My Toolkit instead of the bottom navigation bar.
