Overview
Salus runs as two applications: Salus Desktop and Salus Mobile. Both connect to the same account and the same data, but each is built for a different way of working.
Knowing which application to use, and what each one shows you, saves time and avoids confusion. Use this article when you are setting up, deciding where to do a task, or working out why your screen looks different from a colleague's.
What you can see and do in either application depends on your access level: Full Access, Site Access, or Own Access.
Salus Desktop
Salus Desktop is web based. Open it in a browser on a PC, laptop, or other office device. There is no separate program to download.
Desktop is best suited to administrators (Full Access) who manage the platform: setting up users, configuring the account, and handling work across all sites from one place.
Note: Salus Desktop is available to other access levels too (Site Access and Own Access, for example foremen and workers), but for those users it shows only the same features they see in Salus Mobile. The full set of management tools appears only for Full Access users.
Salus Mobile
Salus Mobile is the app for phones and tablets. Download it from the App Store on iOS or Google Play on Android.
Mobile is best suited to people working on site and on the move, such as foremen (Site Access) and workers (Own Access). It puts the day-to-day tasks they need in the field within easy reach.
Which one should you use?
- Managing the platform, users, or account settings: use Salus Desktop.
- Working on site or in the field: use Salus Mobile.
- Need office work and field work: use both. They share the same account and data.
