The Home page/Dashboard
The first screen that appears when you log in is the Dashboard.
The key features to note generally for the interface are:
- Main menu
Contains the features of the Salus platform at the company level. From here, you can click into each to drill down into specifics. - Main menu button
Show or hide the main menu. - Admin toolbar
Refers to the items in the top menu bar which contains Knowledge Centre, Inbox and the company wide settings. - Panels
Dynamic areas which update in real time to reflect live data on the platform.
Note: Panels are a one way window to view information. To access specifics, navigate to the area of the interface where the data is stored.
Interface elements
You’ll see recurring user interface elements throughout Salus Desktop. These elements help you locate and find the data you’re looking for, and are also referenced throughout the help documentation. We will summarize the key features below.
The key features to note are:
- Tabs
Navigates you to different categories and libraries of information. - Search bar
Searches the table using key words. - Table
All of the data in the platform is organized in tables. The following features are available in all tables, which allow you to locate information quickly and easily:- Table headers
Clicking on a table header, enables you to sort the whole table by the chosen header in ascending or descending. - Filters
Use the filter drop down menus to select specifics of your search. You can apply 1 filter or several.

Note: The table begins sorting itself as soon as you begin selecting your filters.
- Filter icon
The Filter icons administer actions across all of your filters - Refresh
Refreshes the table to reflect the results when multiple filters are applied. - Clear Filters
Clears all the filters so you can start over. - More Filters
Reveals a second row of filter categories. - Hover icons
Different actions are available depending on where you are on the platform. Hovering over the line item, shows action icons to click on and a tool tip that describes what it is. Examples of actions throughout the platform include:
- View
- View & Edit
- Download
- Archive
