Sign Documents (Mobile)

Sign Documents

Overview

Documents in Salus can require a signature before they are considered complete. You can sign a document directly from the mobile app by opening it from the Documents section and signing with your saved signature, or by drawing or typing a new one. Multiple workers can sign the same document in a single session.

Steps

My Toolkit › Documents › [Folder] › [Document]
  1. Tap My Toolkit in the bottom navigation bar.
  2. Tap Documents.
  3. Tap the folder that contains the document you want to sign. Use Search Documents to find it quickly.
  4. Tap the document to open it. Documents that have already been signed show a green Signed badge.
  5. Tap the signature icon in the top right corner of the document viewer. It looks like a small cursive script symbol Screenshot 2026-07-07 at 9.18.04 AM.png

The site selection screen opens, showing all sites in your company.

  1. Tap the site where the signing is taking place, or tap Skip if no site applies.

The worker selection screen opens, showing all workers in your company.

  1. Tap one worker from the list to begin the signing process for that person. Use Search Workers to find someone quickly. If the worker is not in the list, tap Add Worker.

The signature screen opens for that worker. Workers sign one at a time. Choose how to add the signature:

  • Saved: Uses the signature already saved to the worker's profile. Select this tab to apply it without drawing.
  • Draw: Draw a new signature using your finger on the canvas.
  • Type: Type a name and Salus converts it to a signature style automatically.

Tip: If the worker has a signature saved to their profile, use the Saved tab. It applies instantly without requiring them to draw anything. New signatures drawn here are also saved to the worker's profile automatically.

  1. Tap Submit Signature.

You are returned to the worker selection screen. The worker who just signed now shows a green checkmark and a signed timestamp. To collect another signature, tap the next worker's name and repeat from step 7. Each worker signs one at a time.

  1. Once all required workers have signed, tap Done.

You are returned to the document folder. The document now shows a green Signed badge and the date and time it was signed. A "Document signed" confirmation message appears briefly at the bottom of the screen.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can multiple workers sign the same document?

Yes. After one worker submits their signature, you are returned to the worker selection screen where you can tap another worker's name and repeat the signing process. Tap Done when all signatures have been collected.

What is the Saved signature option?

If a worker has added a signature to their Salus profile, the Saved tab displays it automatically on the signature screen. Tapping Submit Signature applies it without any drawing required. This is the fastest way to sign if the worker's signature is already on file.

The worker I need isn't in the list. What should I do?

Tap Add Worker at the bottom of the worker selection screen. If the worker still cannot be found, they may not have a Salus account yet. Contact your admin.

Can I skip selecting a site?

Yes. Tap Skip on the site selection screen if the signing is not tied to a specific site.

I don't see a signature icon in the document. What's wrong?

Not all documents are configured to require a signature. If the signature icon does not appear, the document may not be set up for signing. Contact your Salus admin to confirm.

Where can I see documents I have already signed?

Signed documents show a green Signed badge in the folder view. You can also view your signed documents from My Toolkit by tapping Signed Documents.
