You can download forms, documents, and certificates directly from the Salus web app. Each module works a little differently, so use this article to find the right method for what you're trying to save or share.
Downloading Forms
Download a single form
You can download one form directly from the list, or open it first and download it from there.
From the Submitted list:
- Find the form in the Submitted list.
- In the Actions column, click the download icon (↓).
- The form downloads immediately as a PDF. You don't need to open it first.
From an open form:
- Click the form title, or click the Open In New Window icon in the Actions column.
- In the top right toolbar, click Download.
Email multiple forms as one PDF
There's currently no way to download several forms at once. If you need more than one form in a single file, email them to yourself and save the attachment.
- Select the checkboxes next to the forms you want to send.
- At the bottom of the screen, click Email Selected.
- Enter one or more recipient email addresses, separated by commas.
- Send the email. Salus compiles the selected forms into a single combined PDF and attaches it.
Tip: There's no fixed limit on how many forms you can email at once. It depends on the total attachment size, not the number of forms. If a send fails, try sending fewer forms, or check whether one form has a lot of photos and send it on its own.
Downloading Documents
- Navigate to Documents.
- Click the file you want to download.
- The file opens in a PDF viewer.
- Click the download icon in the top right corner of the viewer to save it locally.
Downloading Certificates
- Navigate to Certificates.
- Click the Open In New Tab icon in the Actions column next to the certificate.
- The certificate opens in a new browser tab.
- Click the download icon in the toolbar to save it.
Note: Larger files download through secure file storage instead of streaming directly. Depending on your browser's settings, this can make the file open or save differently than you expect. If a certificate or document downloads as an unexpected file type, try downloading it again, or check that your browser is set to save PDFs rather than preview them.
What Happens Next
Downloaded files save to your browser's default downloads location. The original form, document, or certificate stays exactly where it was in Salus, downloading never moves or removes it. When you email forms, the recipient receives one PDF with every selected form combined into it.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is there a limit on how many forms I can email at once?
There's no fixed number of forms. What matters is the total size of the attachments. If a send fails, try sending fewer forms, or send one large form (with lots of photos) on its own.
Can I download multiple forms at once, the way I can email them?
Not yet. You can email multiple forms together as one combined PDF, but there's no way to download several at once. To get a local copy of more than one form, download them individually or email them to yourself and save the attachment.
Can I send a form to more than one person?
Yes. Enter multiple email addresses separated by commas in the send window. If commas don't seem to work, make sure you're on the latest version of Salus and contact support if the issue continues.
My download opened as an unexpected file type instead of a PDF.
This is usually a browser setting rather than a problem with the file. Larger certificates and documents download through secure file storage, which can behave differently depending on how your browser handles downloads. Try again, or check that your browser is set to save PDFs instead of previewing them. If it still doesn't work, contact support with the file name.
Do I need special permissions to download a form, document, or certificate?
No. If you can see it, you can download it. There's no separate permission required beyond access to view the item.
Why does emailing forms send one combined file instead of separate attachments?
Salus combines every selected form into a single PDF so the recipient gets one file instead of several separate attachments. If you need a form on its own, download or email it individually.
