Offline Functionality

SALUS has enhanced offline capabilities for field crews, enabling access to forms, documents, certificates, and more. Key features include:

  • Collaborative Work: Multiple users can work on a single form together, with seamless transitions between online and offline modes.
  • Auto-Sync: Desktop and mobile synchronization allows supervisors to start a form in the office, continue working on it in the field without saving, and share it with multiple users, even in and out of cell service.

New Features:

  • Asset Logs, Document Signing, and Corrective Actions: These can now be managed via the mobile app even when out of service range.

Documents:

  • Offline Sync: Download documents onto a mobile device for offline use.
  • Enabling Offline Documents: Edit the document on the Salus website to enable offline access.

Certificates:

  • Image Selection: Choose an image from your Photo Library or use the camera to take a picture when creating a new certificate.
  • Offline Availability: After completing the certificate details, select the option to make it available offline and click Save.

Actions: The ability to create messages and view corrective actions is now available offline. It will be available when the device goes offline and no additional steps are required to enable it.

QR Codes: QR codes cannot be used offline. WiFi or cell service is required for scanning.

Identifying When a Form Is Not Synced or Not Uploaded

If a form is created or edited during periods of poor or no data connection, the form or parts of it might not sync/upload to the server. This means that the form will only be visible in full on the original device and will not be fully accessible to others.

If a form or a part of a form is not synced/uploaded, it will be marked with a red cloud with a cross through it (indicating “not uploaded”) or a red circle with an exclamation mark (indicating it has not finished syncing to the server).

To force a form to attempt to resync, you can navigate to the menu item in the form and select ‘More…’ > Support > Resubmit form. If this option is not available, you can also try one of the syncing options found under ‘More…’ > Support.
