šŸ“¶ Offline Access in SALUS: What You Need to Know

SALUS now offers enhanced offline functionality for field crews, making it easier than ever to access and manage forms, documents, certificates, and more—no matter your connectivity.

šŸ”„ Seamless Collaboration & Syncing

  • Collaborative Forms
Multiple users can work on the same form, with smooth transitions between online and offline modes.
  • Auto-Sync Across Devices
Start a form on desktop, continue editing in the field, and share it with others—even without cell service. No need to manually save.

✨ New Offline Features

  • Asset Logs, Document Signing & Corrective Actions
These can now be created and managed directly in the mobile app—even when offline.
  • Certificates
    • Add images from your Photo Library or take a new photo when creating a certificate.
    • To make it available offline, complete the certificate details, select ā€œMake Available Offline,ā€ and tap Save.
  • Corrective Actions & Messages
These are automatically available offline—no setup required, but you cannot send or receive them offline.
  • QR Codes
QR scanning requires an active WiFi or cellular connection and cannot be used offline.

šŸ—‚ How to Make Documents Available Offline

To ensure access to documents without internet:

  1. Enable Offline Sync
Go to the Documents section on the SALUS website and enable Offline Sync for the desired file.

  2. Ensure the App Has Synced
Once enabled, users with the app installed can access the document—provided it has downloaded while online.

  3. Force a Sync (Optional)
    To prompt immediate syncing:

    • Open the app
    • Go to My Toolkit
    • Tap Refresh App Data

Otherwise, updates occur at random intervals when the app is open.

🚨 Sync Status Indicators

If a form is created or edited while offline or during poor connectivity, it may not sync to the server. In this case:

  • A red cloud with a cross means the form hasn’t uploaded.
  • A red circle with an exclamation mark means the form hasn’t finished syncing.

These forms will only be fully visible on the original device until successfully synced.

šŸ” How to Resync a Form

To manually trigger a sync:

  • Open the form
  • Tap More… > Support > Resubmit Form

If that option isn’t available, try other syncing tools under More… > Support.
