Shared Links for Certificates

A shared link lets you send certificate information to people outside Salus, like general contractors, inspectors, or clients, without giving them a Salus login. Anyone with the link can view it, so it's a fast way to prove compliance on request.

You can build a shared link around a single site or a specific worker, and choose exactly which certificate types are visible.

Note: Shared links are public. Anyone with the link, or the QR code generated for it, can view the certificates it includes. No Salus account or login is required.

Navigate to Shared Links

Certificates › Shared Links
Shared links can only be created by Full Access users. If you don't see the Create Link button, confirm your permission level with an administrator.

Create a Shared Link

  1. Click Certificates in the left navigation.
  2. Click the Shared Links tab.
  3. Click Create Link. The Add Shared Link window opens.
  4. Enter a Name for the link. Use something that identifies who it's for, since this is the only label you'll see later in the Shared Links list.
  5. Select a Type: Site or Worker.

If you selected Site

  1. Select the Site this link applies to. You can only select one site per link.
  2. Select one or more Certificate Type entries to include. Leave this field empty to include all certificate types.
  3. Click Save.

A Site link shows every worker assigned to that site, along with their certificates for the certificate types you selected.

If you selected Worker

  1. Select one or more Worker entries. You can include more than one worker in a single link.
  2. Select one or more Certificate Type entries to include. Leave this field empty to include all certificate types.
  3. Click Save.

A Worker link shows the certificates for the certificate types you selected, for each worker you added.

What Happens Next

Once you click Save, the link appears immediately in the Shared Links table with its name, the public URL, and a QR code. It's live right away, no approval step needed.

  • Click the copy icon next to the link to copy the URL to your clipboard.
  • Click the QR code icon to generate a scannable code for the link, useful for printing and posting on site.
  • Click the trash icon to delete the link. This immediately revokes access for anyone who has it.

Warning: Treat every shared link and QR code as public information. Anyone who has it, whether you sent it directly or it was passed along, can view the certificates it includes.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does the person I send the link to need a Salus account?

No. Shared links are public. Anyone with the link can view it without logging in or having a Salus account.

What's the difference between a Site link and a Worker link?

A Site link shows every worker assigned to one site and their certificates. A Worker link shows certificates for the specific workers you choose, and can include more than one worker.

I don't see the Create Link button. Why?

Only Full Access users can create shared links. Confirm your permission level with an administrator if the button isn't visible.

What happens if I don't select a Certificate Type?

Leaving Certificate Type empty includes all certificate types for the selected site or workers.

Can I include more than one site in a single link?

No. Site links apply to one site at a time. If you need to share certificates for multiple sites, create a separate link for each.

What's the QR code icon next to a link for?

It generates a scannable QR code for the same link, so it can be printed and posted on site instead of shared as a URL.
