Overview
Salus Desktop is the web based version of the Salus platform. It runs in your browser, so there is nothing to download or install. You can log in from any computer with an internet connection.
Use Salus Desktop when you want the full platform experience on a larger screen: managing sites, reviewing forms and action items, and handling company setup. What you can see and do depends on your access level, which is explained below.
How to access Salus Desktop
Open your web browser and go to https://portal.salussafety.io/ to log in.
Note: salussafety.io is the company website, not the login page. To access the software, use the portal address: https://portal.salussafety.io/
Access levels
Every Salus user has an access level. Your access level controls what you can see and do on the platform. There are three levels:
Full Access
The highest level of access. Full Access users can manage company settings, sites, and other users, including creating new users at any access level. This level is typically held by company administrators.
Use it when: you run company setup or manage the platform for your organization.
Site Access
Access scoped to the sites a user is assigned to. This level is typically held by foremen who manage activity on their sites.
Use it when: you oversee one or more sites but do not manage the whole company.
Own Access
Access limited to a user's own records and assigned work. This level is typically held by workers and temporary workers.
Use it when: you complete and submit your own forms and tasks on site.
Tip: Job titles like foreman or worker may appear in Salus, but access level is what actually controls what each user can see and do. When in doubt, check the access level.
How accounts are created
Each company starts with at least one Full Access user. From there, Full Access users can create additional users at any access level, including other Full Access users.
If you need an account, contact a Full Access user at your company. They can create your account and set your access level.
Recommended browsers
Salus Desktop works on all major modern browsers:
- Google Chrome (recommended, best supported)
- Microsoft Edge
- Safari
- Firefox
For the smoothest experience, use Google Chrome. The platform runs well on all four browsers, but Chrome is the most thoroughly supported.
What happens next
After you log in at the portal, Salus Desktop opens to your dashboard. What you see is shaped by your access level: Full Access users see company wide management options, Site Access users see their assigned sites, and Own Access users see their own forms and tasks.
