Accessing the Salus Web App
The Salus web app is browser-based and works on desktop or laptop. It also has a lighter mobile view for on-site access using a QR code or link, without needing to download anything.
Note: Salus also has a dedicated mobile app for Android and iOS, most commonly used by foremen and workers on site. This article covers the web app only. See the mobile app navigation article for that experience.
Core Platform Functions
Salus is built around a set of core functions. Not every user sees every function, that depends on their access level, covered later in this article.
- Documents: share and manage documents for viewing and signing.
- Forms: create and share forms to be filled out and processed following your internal workflows.
- Certificates: manage worker certificates and track renewals.
- Assets: manage company assets and maintenance tracking.
- Compliance checks: set up checks that follow your internal requirements.
- Incidents: track incidents, related paperwork, and everyone involved, to manage the investigation process.
- Action Items: generated from forms or created standalone. Action items are collected in one place for the length of a project so admins can follow up on outstanding items.
- Orientations: track whether workers have completed and signed site-specific orientation forms, helping ensure everyone is properly oriented before starting work.
- QR Code bundles: give on-site workers quick access to key parts of Salus, used for check-in, asset access, and orientation.
Rosie: Your AI Assistant
Rosie is Salus's AI assistant. Rather than being a standalone feature, Rosie is woven directly into other parts of the platform, helping speed up repetitive work in Documents, Certificates, and Forms. Role-Based Access on the Web App
What you see in the Salus web app depends on your access level. There are three levels:
Full Access (Admin)
Full Access users see the complete platform: Dashboards, Sites, Workers, Subcontractors, Documents, Forms, Certificates, Actions, and Assets, along with company-wide settings. This is the only level with unrestricted visibility across all sites and worker profiles.
Site Access (Foreman)
Foremen with Site Access see the same side menu as an Admin: Dashboards, Sites, Workers, Subcontractors, Documents, Forms, Certificates, Actions, and Assets. However, what appears inside each section is limited to the sites they're assigned to. Foremen cannot open a worker's full profile.
Own Access (Worker)
Workers with Own Access have the most limited view. Their side menu only shows Forms, Documents, and Certificates, plus their Inbox. Everything they see is limited to their own information.
