Add and Manage Certificates on Salus Mobile

Certificates store your safety credentials in one place inside the Salus Mobile app. Adding a certificate uploads a photo of the document along with its details, so your records stay current and your organization can confirm compliance.

Use this feature when you earn a new certification, when an existing one is renewed, or when you need to check the expiry date of a certificate you already hold. Your certificates are visible to you and to anyone who manages a site you are assigned to.

Where to Find Certificates

Salus Mobile › My Toolkit › Certificates

Open Your Certificates

  1. Tap My Toolkit.
  2. Tap Certificates.

The Certificates screen lists every certificate you have uploaded, with its issue and expiry dates. Use the search bar to find a specific certificate. Toggle between Active and Expired to filter the list.

Add a Certificate

  1. On the Certificates screen, tap the + button.
  2. Add the front image of your certificate. Choose Camera to take a photo, Photo Library to pick an existing photo, or Files to select a saved file.
  3. Enter the certificate details (see the fields below).
  4. Set the Available Offline toggle if you want to view this certificate without an internet connection.
  5. Tap Save.
Any user with Own Access can add and manage their own certificates.

Certificate Fields

Front Image (required)

A photo of the front of your certificate. You can capture it with the camera or select it from your photo library or files.

Use it when: every certificate needs a front image before it can be saved.

Certificate Name (required)

The name of the certificate, such as the credential or course title.

Use it when: choose a name you will recognize when searching your list later.

Issue Date (optional)

The date the certificate was issued.

Use it when: you want a record of when the certification started.

Expiry Date (optional)

The date the certificate expires. Certificates with a past expiry date appear under the Expired filter on the Certificates screen.

Use it when: the certification has a renewal date you want to track.

Available Offline (optional)

A toggle that keeps the certificate viewable in the app without an internet connection.

Use it when: you need to show the certificate on a site with no signal.

Note: Certificate Name and the front image are the only required fields. You can save a certificate without

an issue or expiry date.

What Happens Next

When you tap Save, the certificate uploads and appears on your Certificates screen. If you added an expiry date in the future, it shows under the Active filter. If the expiry date has already passed, it shows under the Expired filter.

Your certificates are also visible to users who manage a site you are assigned to. A Site Access user can view the certificates of the Field workers (Own Access users) assigned to their site. To replace a certificate, add a new one with the updated image and details.

Frequently Asked Questions

Which fields do I have to fill in?

Only the front image and the Certificate Name are required. Issue date, expiry date, and the Available Offline toggle are optional.

Can I add a certificate without taking a new photo?

Yes. When you add the front image, you can choose Photo Library to use an existing photo or Files to select a saved document, instead of taking a new photo with the camera.

Why can't I see an expired certificate in my list?

The Certificates screen has an Active and Expired filter. A certificate with a past expiry date moves to the Expired view. Tap Expired to see it.

What does the Available Offline toggle do?

It keeps the certificate viewable in the app when you have no internet connection. Turn it on for certificates you may need to show on a site with no signal.

Who else can see my certificates?

You can see your own certificates. A Site Access user can view the certificates of the Field workers assigned to a site they manage.

How do I update a certificate that was renewed?

Add a new certificate with the updated image and the new issue and expiry dates. The renewed version then appears in your Active list.
