View and Edit a Worker's Details

Overview

Each worker in Salus has a profile page where you can view their information and access their certificates, orientations, forms, documents, notes, and site access. You can update a worker's core details at any time using the Edit Worker dialog.

This article covers how to open a worker's profile and edit their details. For information on specific profile tabs such as Site Access or Certificates, see the related articles at the bottom of this page.

Getting There

Workers › Active
  1. Click Workers in the left navigation menu.
  2. Click the name of the worker you want to view or edit.

The worker's profile page opens. At the top you can see their name, role, email, and key contact details. Below that, a row of tabs gives access to Certificates, Orientations, Forms, Documents, Notes, Settings, Site Access, and Company Access.

Edit a Worker's Details

  1. From the worker's profile page, click Edit Worker in the top right corner.

The Edit Worker dialog opens. Update the fields you need, then click Save.

Identity

First Name

Required.

Last Name

The worker's last name.

Required.

Role

The worker's role or trade. This determines what the worker can see and do in Salus.

Login Credentials

Salus uses a security code login system. Workers sign in by entering a code sent to their Auth Email or Auth Mobile Phone. These fields must be unique across all worker profiles in your company.

Auth Email

The email address the worker uses to log in. Salus sends the security code to this address. This field must be unique: no two worker profiles can share the same Auth Email.

Required for email-based login.

Auth Mobile Phone

The mobile number the worker uses to log in. Salus sends the security code to this number by text. This field must be unique: no two worker profiles can share the same Auth Mobile Phone. Select the correct country code from the dropdown before entering the number.

Required for phone-based login.

Note: At least one of Auth Email or Auth Mobile Phone must be filled in for the worker to be able to log into Salus. If both are blank, the worker cannot sign in.

Warning: Auth Email and Auth Mobile Phone must each be unique across your company. Salus will not allow you to save if either value is already in use on another worker profile.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between Auth Email and Email?

Auth Email is the login credential. The worker uses it to receive their security code and sign into Salus. It must be unique across all worker profiles in your company. Email is a general contact field and does not need to be unique. In most cases both fields will contain the same address.

What is the difference between Auth Mobile Phone and Phone?

Auth Mobile Phone is the login credential used to receive security codes by text. It must be unique across all worker profiles. Phone is a general contact field with no uniqueness requirement.

I get an error when trying to save. What's wrong?

The most common cause is a duplicate Auth Email or Auth Mobile Phone. These fields must be unique across all workers in your company. If another worker profile already uses the same value, Salus will not allow you to save. Check for duplicate profiles and update the conflicting value.

Where do I see the emergency contact details I entered?

Once saved, the Emergency Contact Name and Emergency Contact Phone appear in the summary section at the top of the worker's profile page.

I don't see the Edit Worker button. What's wrong?

You may not have the permissions needed to edit worker profiles. Contact your Salus admin to confirm your account has the correct access level.

Can I change a worker's role?

Yes. Open the Edit Worker dialog, select the new role from the Role dropdown, and click Save. The change takes effect immediately.
